Summer Season Update – 08/04/21
Even with all the rain in July, Baker and Reid were able to get our new spartite installed AND the windows glued back in with some glue that is more flex resistant. Our first Tuesday race was yesterday and we were first to finish in class by 3 seconds and are showing as first place but I believe the ratings are wrong and we will be second place. …

Desire Sail Today – SUN 5/2 at 2p
Baker and Reid, and a few others from the club, did the first shakedown sail last Sunday (4/25). I was not able to attend but then went out with Baker and Dooley on Monday (4/26). We did the on the water tuning and she is pretty much ready to race. Looks like 15 to 20 kts with temperatures in the mid to high 70s so join the fun today should you be available. …

Desire Splashed Friday 4/16, at NSSC
Desire was supposed to be splashed around noon but it was not until 4p as Sailors Cove had a starter problem with the engine that drives the hoist AND then an electrical problem with the boom arm used to hoist the mast. Rick Vincent, worked very diligently to make our launch happen. Kudos to Rick.
